Expanding Proteus Discovery Group with the Acquisition of Novitas Data

I’m excited to share some significant news with our clients, partners, and eDiscovery friends: Proteus Discovery Group has officially acquired Novitas Data. It’s an important step for us, doubling our size and greatly enhancing our ability to provide top-tier eDiscovery solutions coast-to-coast.

The acquisition is more than just growth for us—it’s about broadening the range of services we can offer to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Novitas brings deep experience in advanced digital forensics, Relativity server hosting, and scanning services, all of which complement the work we’ve been doing at Proteus since our founding in 2015. By combining our strengths, Proteus is now able to provide an end-to-end suite of eDiscovery solutions, from the early stages of digital evidence collection to final trial preparation.

Novitas was ahead of the eDiscovery curve in many ways. The company was founded in 1997 – long before organizations were using legal technology as part of their standard litigation preparation practices – and has been a respected leader in the Pacific Northwest ever since. I’ve long admired their forward-thinking approach, particularly when it comes to Relativity Server infrastructure and forensics.

By folding their team and services into Proteus, we’re able to offer our clients a more robust, cost-effective set of solutions, and extend our reach from coast to coast.

For me, this acquisition is about staying true to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and adapting to the changing landscape of litigation and eDiscovery. We’re growing to serve you better, and I’m confident that with Novitas joining Proteus, we’re stronger than ever.

Thank you for your continued trust in Proteus Discovery Group. We’re looking forward to what the future holds.

Sincerely,
